Nueva mascota de Atalaya Golf ClubAtalaya Golf new pet
The dog portrayed in the photo has been adopted by the club manager in order to avoid the unfortunate prospect of being placed in a box and being abandoned along with his sister.
“Dido” (Directors Dog) as he has been named was saved by our alert director who was informed about the taunting future the dogs faced and rapidly intervened saving the day and offering Dido a new future. Unfortunately and although Andrés Sánchez acted rapidly he was unable to save Dido´s sister who disappeared. As an adolescent (8 months) both he and sister toyed by hunting rabbits,
unfortunately one thing led to another and the last straw for the owner was the death of 5 chickens.
Dido is an Andalusian wine-cellar rat-hunting dog (Bodeguero Andaluz), has been adopted by employees and members and is a pleasure to see around our installations. He recently visited the vets and was deparisited, washed and chipped.
Our members have provided Dido with a bed, food, collar and most importantly what he most need, love and care. After only 3 weeks he seems almost like a new dog, he has gained weight and his rib cage is not predominant, he does not tremble when approached and has converted into an affectionate dog.
We sincerely hope that he adapts to his new home.
